top 269 px, bottom 672 px, left 65 px, right 65 px
Meta's rule: leave roughly the top 14%, bottom 35% and 6% on each side free of text, logos and key elements, so the profile icon and CTA do not cover them and nothing sits too close to the edge on screens taller than 9:16. On Meta's recommended 1440 × 2560 that is 358 px top, 896 px bottom, 86 px sides.

- Export Feed creative at 4:5 (1440 × 1800). At the same width a 4:5 image is 25% taller than a 1:1 square, so it covers more of the mobile Feed.
- Make a separate 9:16 version (1440 × 2560) for Stories and Reels instead of reusing the 4:5 file. In Meta's own split tests, 9:16 video with sound and key messages inside the safe zone got 2x higher delivery to Reels.
- On a 1080 × 1920 Stories or Reels frame, keep headlines, prices, logos and disclaimers between y = 269 px and y = 1248 px and between x = 65 px and x = 1015 px (14% top, 35% bottom, 6% sides).
- Write short copy: Meta suggests 50–150 characters of primary text and a 27-character headline for Feed, and lists only 44 characters of primary text for Reels, so put the message in the creative itself.
- Add captions and sound to video. Meta lists both as optional but recommended, and Reels play with sound on by default.
Facebook ad size questions
What is the best Facebook ad size in 2026?
For Feed, 4:5 at 1440 × 1800 px, which is Meta's current recommendation for both images and video. For Stories and Reels, 9:16 at 1440 × 2560 px. For carousel cards, 1:1 at 1080 × 1080 px or larger.
Is 1080 × 1080 still a good Facebook ad size?
It is what Meta asks for on carousel cards (1:1, at least 1080 × 1080). For single-image Feed ads Meta now recommends 4:5 at 1440 × 1800, which takes up more screen height than a square.
What is the maximum file size for Facebook ads?
30 MB for images (JPG or PNG) and 4 GB for video (MP4, MOV or GIF).
How long can a Facebook video ad be?
Feed video can run from 1 second to 241 minutes. Stories video can run from 1 second to 3 minutes, and anything longer than 15 seconds is split into separate Stories cards. Reels ads can be up to 15 minutes.
What is the safe zone for Facebook Stories and Reels ads?
Meta recommends leaving roughly 14% at the top, 35% at the bottom and 6% on each side free of text, logos and other key elements so the profile icon and call-to-action do not cover them.
