How to use it
- 1Upload a JPG, PNG or WebP.
- 2Choose Crop to fill (tap the subject to keep it centred) or Fit with a background.
- 3Download each size, or all four at once.
Which sizes you get
1080 × 1080 (1:1) for feeds and carousels, 1080 × 1350 (4:5) for Facebook and Instagram feeds, 1080 × 1920 (9:16) for Stories, Reels, TikTok and Shorts, and 1200 × 628 (1.91:1) for Google Display and link ads. Meta now recommends 1440 × 1800 for 4:5 feed ads; 1080 × 1350 has the same shape and is accepted.
Crop or fit?
Crop to fill uses the whole frame, which is what the platforms reward, but cuts the edges. Fit keeps the whole image and fills the empty space with a blurred copy or a solid colour. Use fit for images with text near the edges, and remember to keep text out of the safe zones in 9:16.
Resizing is not re-designing
A banner cropped to 9:16 rarely works as a story: the headline ends up under the app interface. AdCreator lays out each size again instead, moving the headline and button into the safe area for each placement.
Questions & answers
Is the ad resizer free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark. The resizing happens in your browser, so your image is never uploaded to a server.
What is the best size for a Facebook ad?
For the feed, Meta's Ads Guide recommends a 4:5 ratio (1440 × 1800). For Stories and Reels, 9:16 (1440 × 2560 or 1080 × 1920). See the Facebook ad size guide for every placement.
Will resizing reduce quality?
Downsizing keeps quality. Upsizing a small image cannot add detail, so start from at least 1080 pixels on the short side.
