Fitness & gym ad examples
Gyms, studios and personal trainers sell a change people have to work for, so the ads that work tend to lower the first hurdle: a cheap first month, a free class or a friendly face. We have not yet made analysed examples for this industry. This page lists the formats and tips we recommend and the ads we plan to create. Be careful with body-change claims and before-and-after photos, which Meta restricts under its personal health policies.
Ad ideas we are making next
Finished, analysed examples for this industry are on the way. These are the ads we plan to add.
- Offer-first: gym membership 'First month $1' over a bright, wide gym floor photo with people training
- Testimonial: member quote about the community (not weight loss) over a photo of a group class high-fiving
- UGC overlay: 'POV: 6 am class and you actually showed up' over a phone-style shot of a spin studio
- Event: 'Free outdoor bootcamp, Sunday 9 am' poster over a park workout photo
- Feature callout: studio photo with callouts '24/7 access', 'Free parking' and 'Sauna included'
Tips for fitness & gyms ads
- Lead with a low-risk first step, such as 'First month $1', 'Free first class' or 'Bring a friend free', and state the terms.
- Show your real space and real members (with their permission), not stock models. People want to know whether they will fit in.
- Avoid ads that suggest something is wrong with the viewer's body. Meta's personal health policies restrict that, along with before-and-after photos.
- Results claims, like kilos lost or weeks to a goal, need evidence and should reflect typical results, not the best case.
- Use member reviews only with permission and in their own words.
